My Journey with V-Ray: From Fan to Featured Artist
My Journey with V-Ray: From Fan to Featured Artist
From 2006 to Today
I began using V-Ray from Chaos Group as my primary rendering software in 2006. Over the years, I’ve witnessed the software evolve into one of the most powerful rendering tools available, and I’ve been fortunate enough to be part of its journey. Whether creating medical animations, architectural visualizations (archviz), or product visualizations, V-Ray has consistently delivered the performance and quality I rely on.
Beta Testing and Feedback
My passion for rendering led me to participate in multiple beta releases of V-Ray’s updated software. Providing feedback and helping shape the tools I use daily has been a rewarding experience. It’s been inspiring to watch the software continue to push the boundaries of what’s possible with 3D rendering.
Fan Art Meets Recognition
Recently, I had the incredible honor of being featured on the V-Ray 7 installer splash screen. My fan art of Spike, the beloved character from The Land Before Time, was selected as part of their showcase. It’s not every day you get to blend childhood nostalgia with professional artistry, and having that piece recognized by Chaos Group was both humbling and exciting.

Why V-Ray?
What makes V-Ray my go-to renderer after all these years?
- Versatility: Whether it’s photorealism for architectural projects or stylized animations, V-Ray adapts seamlessly.
- Performance: Speed and accuracy have always been crucial for delivering client work on time.
- Innovation: V-Ray’s continual updates, from enhanced global illumination to progressive GPU rendering, make it a cutting-edge tool.
Reflecting on the Journey
Being featured on the V-Ray 7 splash screen was not just a professional milestone but a reminder of how far I’ve come since my early days of learning to render. From technical product shots to bringing characters like Spike to life, V-Ray has been a constant companion in my creative process.
Stay tuned for more projects and renderings, and thank you to Chaos Group for the continued inspiration!
